The Hijab has became subject of a fierce debate in India at the beginning of January 2022 a dispute pertaining to school uniform erupted in state of Karnataka.when some Muslim students of junior college who wanted to wear Hijab to classes where denied to entry in the ground that violation of college uniform policy -over the following weeks the dispute spread to other school and colleges across the state with group of Hindu students conducting counter protest by demanding wear wear their related costume.on 5th Feb The Karnataka Govt issued an order stating that uniform must be worn where policies exist and no exception can be made for the wearing of Hijab several educational institutions cited this order and denied entry to Muslim girl wearing the Hijab. The question of whether Muslim girls or women in Karnataka can wear a Hijab in school and colleges will be decided by the State High Court of Karnataka which is currently hearing the matter of Govt run colleges revised the rules every year decision over uniform rest with development committee headed by local legislature but increasing polarization has let to differing rules around the hijab across the colleges Muslim girls argue that ban on Hijab violet right to freedom of religion which is the fundamental right enclosed in the constitution. Near two third of the Muslim women wear a Burqa in India. It is also found that as many as 61% Indian women reported covering the heads outside their homes. Women in general are the torch bearers of community identity i worry that this will obviously create an environment of hate in school and colleges. I think Hijab is blessing of Allah and its gift for a women community.
